Installation Requirements
Installation of chopped engine guard required for correct installation of this kit. See the P&A Retail Catalog or the Parts and Accessories section of www.harley-davidson.com (English only).
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from a Harley-Davidson Dealer.
Kit Contents
See Figure 7 and Table 1.
PREPARE
1. Remove and discard oil cooler cover.
a. Pull forward at bottom to free posts from grommets.
b. Rotate up and lift off upper retainer.
2. Verify Original Equipment (OE) grommets were removed from oil cooler.
3. Remove and discard four fairing lower screws and air deflectors.
INSTALLATION
1. See Figure 1. Attach right bracket (10) to bottom of fairing with screws (6). Tighten.
Torque: 5.4–6.8 N·m (48–60 in-lbs) Spoiler mounting bracket screws

2. See Figure 7 and Figure 1. Attach left bracket (9) to bottom of fairing with screws (6). Tighten.
Torque: 5.4–6.8 N·m (48–60 in-lbs) Spoiler mounting bracket screws
3. See Figure 7. Install new grommets (5) in oil cooler.
4. See Figure 3. Install spoiler (3) by aligning posts on spoiler with grommets in oil cooler.

NOTE
Do not tighten hardware before all components have been installed.
Install right side fairing spoiler (2).
a. Place right side fairing spoiler in position behind engine guard while engaging tab on chin spoiler.
c. See Figure 3. Open clamp to fit over engine guard.

e. Install bottom screw (7).
5.4. Loosely install screw through clamp (8) and into side fairing.

6. Install left side fairing spoiler (1).
a. Place left side fairing spoiler in position behind engine guard while engaging tab on chin spoiler.
b. Loosely install top two screws.
c. Open clamp to fit over engine guard.
d. Loosely install screw through clamp and into side fairing.
e. Install bottom screw.
f. Install screw through bracket.

NOTE
If fairing spoiler and main fairing do not properly align see ADJUST MAIN FAIRING.
Verify alignment between fairing spoiler and main fairing.
8. Tighten screws from bottom to top.
a. Bottom screws
Torque: 3.4–4.5 N·m (30–40 in-lbs) Fairing spoiler screw, bottom
b. Clamp screws
Torque: 3.4–4.5 N·m (30–40 in-lbs) Fairing spoiler screw, bracket
c. Bracket screws
Torque: 3.4–4.5 N·m (30–40 in-lbs) Fairing spoiler screw, clamp
d. Fairing lower screws
Torque: 0.9–1.7 N·m (8–15 in-lbs) Fairing, lower, screw
ADJUST MAIN FAIRING
1. Remove outer fairing. See the service manual.
2. See Figure 5. Loosen fairing support screws (1).

4. Adjust fairing position to align with fairing spoiler.
5. See Figure 6. Tighten screws (1) and flange locknuts (2).
Torque: 27.1–40.7 N·m (20–30 ft-lbs) Fairing mounting bracket screw
6. See Figure 5. Tighten support screws (2).
Torque: 5.4–6.8 N·m (48–60 in-lbs) Inner fairing support upper screws
7. Install outer fairing. See the service manual.
8. Check headlamp alignment. See the service manual.
