INSTALLATION
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit.
If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation.
Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00308b)
NOTE
When a solo seat is installed without a passenger seat, the passenger foot pegs or foot boards and the passenger grab strap must be removed.
| 1. | Remove cowl cover and seat. See Owner's Manual. | |
| 2. | Retain Original Equipment (OE) hardware screws for installation of new seat. | |
| 3. | Install new seat, inserting the tongue at front of seat into the channel into frame. See Owner's Manual. | |
| 4. | Install screws (1). Tighten. Torque: 10–12 N·m (7–9 ft-lbs) | |
| 5. | After installing seat, pull up on the seat to verify that it is secure. See Owner's Manual. |
