Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit.
If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation.
Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00308b)
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Install one side at a time. Removing screws from both sides allow the rear fender to fall.
| 1. | See Figure 1. Remove two screws (A). Retain screws to return vehicle to original configuration in the future. NOTE Verify that the spacer between fender and support bracket cover is in place during installation of guard. | |
| 2. | Install the guard with new screws (2, 3). Tighten to 54.2 N·m (40 ft-lbs). | |
| 3. | Repeat with the opposite side. |
