Installation Requirements

NOTE

The grommets MUST be replaced. Failing to do so would possibly mean increased chance of injury or death in case of an accident.

When installing an OE or PNA windshield, a new grommet should always be installed for proper operation.

NOTE

This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from a Harley-Davidson dealer.

REMOVE

1.	See Figure 1. Remove four screws (2) and rubber washer (3). Retain hardware.
2.	Remove windshield (1).
3.	See Figure 2. Remove vent (1).
4.	See Figure 3. Remove the E-clip (4).
5.	Remove pin (1).
6.	Rotate bracket (3).
7.	Remove Original Equipment (OE) grommet (2). a. Retain OE grommet and windshield for later installation.
8.	Repeat steps 4-7 for opposite side.

INSTALLATION

1.	See Figure 3. Install new grommet (2) from kit.
2.	Rotate bracket (3).
3.	Install pin (1).
4.	Install E-clip (4).
5.	Repeat steps 1-4 for opposite side.
6.	See Figure 2. Install vent (1).
7.	See Figure 1. Install new windshield (1) from kit.
8.	Spray rubber washers (3) with a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol/water solution. This will help aligning the washer in the windshield.
9.	Install four rubber washers (3) and screws (2). Tighten. Torque: 3.5–4.5 N·m (31–40 in-lbs) Windshield screw
