Installation Requirements
NOTE
This instruction sheet references service manual information. A service manual for your model motorcycle is required for this installation and is available from a Harley-Davidson dealer.
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)
Proper installation of this kit requires the separate purchase of the following parts which are available at a Harley-Davidson dealer:
- Recommend tires. Refer to Table 2.
- Wheel Installation Kit. Refer to Table 4.
- Brake Disc Hardware. Refer to Table 1.

PREPARE

INSTALLATION
NOTE
If vehicle is not equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), install valve stem (40999-87) included in the installation kit.
If equipped with TPMS, reuse valve stem.
Cotter pin or spring clip for the axle nut must be replaced. Both are available for purchase from a Harley-Davidson dealer.

| 2. | Assemble wheel installation kit components, stock brake disc, and sprocket to wheel using the appropriate service parts table. See service manual. a. Install ABS bearing first. | 3. | When installing the tire, ensure protective covers are installed on the tire mounting machine to avoid paint chipping. |
