Installation Requirements
WARNINGRider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)

PREPARE
NOTE
Air filter is located inside air box assembly.
| 1. | Remove and discard Original Equipment (OE) air filter. See service manual. a. Reassemble air box assembly after discarding OE air filter. |
REMOVE
| 1. | See Figure 2. Remove OE right side valley cover. a. Pull cover (1) off and discard. | |
| 2. | See Figure 3. Remove right side valley cover bracket. a. Remove small screw (2) and discard. b. Remove large screws (1) and discard. c. Remove bracket (3). |

INSTALL
| 1. | See Figure 5. Install heavy breather assembly. a. See Figure 4. Lubricate seal (2) with a 50/50 distilled water and Isopropyl alcohol mix. b. See Figure 5. Twist heavy breather assembly (3) to ensure seal engages with intake snorkel. | |
| 2. | Install small screw (2). Tighten. Torque: 5.8–7.9 N·m (51–70 in-lbs) Small screw | |
| 3. | Install large screws (1). Tighten. Torque: 108–119 N·m (80–88 ft-lbs) Large screw | |
| 4. | Install air filter (4). | |
| 5. | Tighten clamp (5). |
