Installation Requirements
WARNING
Rider and passenger safety depend upon the correct installation of this kit. Use the appropriate service manual procedures. If the procedure is not within your capabilities or you do not have the correct tools, have a Harley-Davidson dealer perform the installation. Improper installation of this kit could result in death or serious injury. (00333b)

    NOTE
    Damage WILL occur to OE speakers when this audio amplifier is installed.
  • 2024-later FLHX and FLTRX: Separate purchase of Speaker Kits (Part No's 76001295, 76001296, 76001297 or 76001298) is required for this installation.
Installation by a technician at a Harley-Davidson dealership is recommended.
To ensure proper audio performance, speaker set up in the Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU) OR Digital Technician II (DT II) is required for audio configuration and amplifier firmware update.
See the Harley-Davidson website and select Software Updates. The link will open up the Infotainment Support Resources for software updates.
PREPARE
1. Remove left saddlebag. See service manual.
2. Remove left side cover. See service manual.
3. Remove main fuse. See service manual.
4. Remove outer fairing. See service manual.
REMOVE
1. See Figure 2. Remove Original Equipment (OE) amplifier.
a. Remove screws (1).
b. Remove amplifier (3).
c. Disconnect connector (2).
INSTALL
NOTE
Damage WILL occur to OE speakers when this audio amplifier is installed. Refer to Installation Requirements.
1. See Figure 2. Install amplifier.
2. Connect connector (2).
3. Install amplifier (3) on mounts.
4. Install screws (1). Tighten.
Torque: 5.5–6.8 N·m (49–60 in-lbs)

COMPLETE
NOTE
To prevent possible damage to the sound system, verify that the ignition is OFF before installing the main fuse.
1. Install outer fairing. See service manual.
2. Install main fuse. See service manual.
3. Install left side cover. See service manual.
4. Install left saddlebag. See service manual.
CONFIGURE
NOTE
It is required to update Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU) software to the latest version first, followed by updating the amplifier software. Do not proceed without performing these updates.
1. From the www.harley-davidson.com website.
a. Select: Software Updates. This links to Infotainment Support Resources.
b. Select: Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU) SkylineTM OS Located in Table of Content.
c. Follow the instructions to transfer the update to the (IFCU) and Amplifiers as equipped.
2. Perform system configuration ONLY after all audio accessory kits have been installed.
3. Power up vehicle in accessory mode.
4. On the Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU):
a. Select: Settings icon.
b. Select: Sounds Settings.
c. Follow on screen prompts for applicable audio system changes.
5. When complete, turn power off for 60 seconds.
6. Turn the ignition ON, but do not start the vehicle.
7. Make sure that all speakers are working properly. Check that front and rear fader function is operating correctly. If not, check speaker wiring. Refer to Installation Requirements.
