NOTE
Front
1. See Figure 1. Check front master cylinder reservoir fluid level in sight glass.
a. Set motorcycle upright. See Secure the Motorcycle for Service in Maintenance → GENERAL.
b. Verify reservoir is level.
c. Check level in sight glass.
2. View reservoir sight glass. Fluid level must be at or above the minimum mark on glass. If level is below minimum mark:
a. Check brake pad installation and rotors are properly installed and not worn beyond service limits. See Maintenance → INSPECT BRAKES.
b. Check brake system for leaks. Repair as necessary.
Rear
1. See Figure 2. Check rear master cylinder reservoir fluid level in sight glass.
a. Set motorcycle upright. See Secure the Motorcycle for Service in Maintenance → GENERAL.
b. Verify reservoir is level.
2. If brake fluid is below MIN mark:
a. Check brake pad installation or for wear beyond specification. See Maintenance → INSPECT BRAKES.
b. Check brake system for leaks. Repair as necessary.
