1. | Allow system to cool. | |
2. | Remove front cover. See Electric Vehicle Powertrain (EVPT) → FRONT COVER. | |
3. | See Figure 1. Reposition clamp (1). | |
4. | Remove coolant line (2). | |
5. | NOTE Make sure that there is no debris in shop towel. Debris in coolant system could lead to overheating and motorcycle damage. a. Remove filler neck cap. b. Cover filler neck with bunched up shop towel. c. Stick air nozzle under shop towel and blow air into system to purge rest of coolant. d. Install filler neck cap. | |
6. | Install coolant line (2). | |
7. | Reposition clamp (1). | |
8. | Install front cover. See Electric Vehicle Powertrain (EVPT) → FRONT COVER. |
1. | Set motorcycle upright. | |
2. | Remove filler neck cap. | |
3. | Add coolant until fluid level reaches COLD line.GENUINE HARLEY-DAVIDSON EXTENDED LIFE ANTIFREEZE & COOLANT (26800188 or 26800191) | |
4. | Connect AC power cord to power receptacle (vehicle inlet). | |
5. | Switch the OFF/RUN switch to the run position. | |
6. | Wait for coolant pump to engage. a. Coolant level will recede from COLD line. | |
7. | Add coolant until fluid level reaches COLD line. | |
8. | NOTE Coolant pump can also be turned on to bleed air from the cooling system using Digital Technicain II if the AC power cord is not available. If Digital Technician and power cord are not available, vehicle can be put into propulsion mode while upright. Care must be taken that the vehicle does not accelerate away by itself. | |
9. | Switch the OFF/RUN switch to the off position. | |
10. | Disconnect AC power cord. | |
11. | Install filler neck cap. |
