1. Install throttle hand grip.
a. Verify Twist Grip Sensor (TGS) is installed and fully engaged in slots in handlebar.
b. Position hand grip with cosmetic features properly positioned. Install hand grip on handlebar and fully engage on TGS splines until it bottoms.
2. See Figure 2. Connect RHCM (3).
a. Route harness through fingers (4) and into channel in control module.
b. Connect RHCM connector.
3. Install RHCM on handlebar.
a. Rotate switch (1) up and snap latch (2) into place.
NOTE
Avoid pinching wires by alignment fingers (4) while assembling switch housings.
4. See Figure 3. Route wires close to the wire retainer (2).
5. Verify that wire harness is in the recess at bottom of handlebar.
6. See Figure 2. Install front housing.
a. Align switch housing on RHCM.
b. Install screws (5) until snug.
7. Install brake hand control assembly. See Chassis → FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER.
8. Set right hand grip end play.
a. Move RHCM assembly inboard to remove grip end play.
b. Move switch housing outboard to specification.
Length: 1–2 mm (0.039–0.079 in)
9. Tighten RHCM housing screws.
Torque: 4–5 N·m (35–44 in-lbs) Switch housing (RHCM) screws
