With the exception of the high voltage electrical drive system, Harley-Davidson EV motorcycles are similar in design to traditional internal combustion motorcycles. Distinguishing characteristics that may help to identify an EV motorcycle are the presence of:
- Vehicle inlet/Charge port
- Electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) caddy
- Rechargeable energy storage system (RESS) (High voltage battery)
- Electric vehicle power train (EVPT) (Drive motor)
Familiarize yourself with the location of all EV identifiers on the motorcycle.
