Do not operate vehicle with forks locked. Locking the forks restricts the vehicle's turning ability, which could result in death or serious injury. (00035a)

Protect your vehicle against theft. Failure to lock the motorcycle after parking could result in theft and/or equipment damage. (00151b)

Do not lubricate barrel locks with petroleum based lubricants or graphite. Inoperative locks may result. (00152a)

Key Lock
LOCK
Locks the switch in either the FORK LOCK or ACCESS switch position. Remove the key for security.
UNLOCK
Unlocks the switch. Unlocked, the switch can be rotated to any of the four positions. To prevent loss while riding, remove the key.

FORK LOCK
Locks fork in left position to discourage unauthorized use of vehicle when parked. See Controls and Indicators → Fork Lock for operation.
OFF
When switch is in OFF position, the ignition, lamps and accessories are off.
IGNITION
When the switch is in the IGNITION position, the motorcycle can be started and all lamps and accessories will operate.
ACCESS
When the switch is in the ACCESS position, the instrument lamps and accessories will operate but the engine can not be started. Brake lamp and horn can be activated. In ACCESS, the switch can be locked.
