WARNING

Replace tire immediately with a Harley-Davidson specified tire when wear bars become visible or only 1 mm (1/32 in) tread depth remains. Riding with a worn tire could result in death or serious injury. (00090c)

Indicators on the tire sidewalls point to tread wear bars in the tread.

Michelin Tires: See Figure 1.
Dunlop Tires: See Figure 2.

See Figure 3. Tread wear indicator bars appear in the tread pattern when 0.8 mm (1/32 in) or less of tread remains. Always replace the tires before the indicator bars appear.

Replace Tires

Replace worn tires with new tires if any of the following conditions exist:

Tread wear indicator bars appear in the tread pattern.
Tire cords or fabric are visible through cracked sidewalls, snags or deep cuts.
A bump, bulge or split is found anywhere on the tire.
The tire is damaged by a puncture, cut or other damage that cannot be repaired.
