See Figure 1. Stand behind the motorcycle and place the left and right front sideplate notches into the grooves of the front docking points.

Position rotary latches over the rear docking points. Pull the rotary latches back to their rearmost position. Verify the upright notches and latches fit into the groove of the rear docking point. Slight compression or spreading of the upright sideplates may be required.

Push the rear of the upright sideplates down and push the latch levers forward to close the rotary latches. A click will be heard when the latches are in place. If the latches do not easily close, do not force. Check the upright alignment again.

Press the release button on each side and push the latch levers forward.

Carefully lift the rear of the sideplates up and pull the front sideplate notches out of the front docking points.
