Connection
See Controls and Indicators → Road Tech zumo 660 GPS Unit → Road Tech zumo 660 GPS Unit. The GPS output connector (6) must be connected with the audio system connector (5) for audio from the GPS unit to be played through the speakers. Refer to Controls and Indicators → Road Tech zumo 660 GPS Unit for additional instructions for the GPS unit.
A separate mp3/audio player can be played over the speakers by plugging the audio system connector to the player and storing the player in the fairing. Be aware that turn-by-turn navigation instructions will not be played through the speakers while the GPS output is disconnected from the audio system.
Operation
See Figure 1. With the GPS unit or mp3/audio player turned on, use the following dash controls to operate the audio system.
Power on/off: Turn on/off the audio system amplifier.
Volume up: Increase amplifier volume.
Volume down: Decrease amplifier volume.
It is recommended that the volume in the GPS unit or mp3/audio player be set to at least three-quarters maximum volume. If the volume is too low or muted in the device, the audio may not be heard through the system.
The amplifier has automatic gain control, which maintains output performance even if the GPS unit or mp3/audio player output volume is set at maximum level.
Using the audio system for an extended period while the engine is not running will drain the battery.
