The full 17-digit serial or Vehicle Identification Number (V.I.N.) is stamped on the right side of the frame backbone at the rear of the steering head. A label bearing the V.I.N. code is also affixed to the left side of the steering head.
An abbreviated V.I.N. is stamped on the left side crankcase at the base of the rear cylinder.
