See Figure 1. Using your thumb, push in the spring loaded locking latch and pull the swivel latch rearward.

Lift the assembly off the motorcycle by lifting the backrest upward and toward the rear of the motorcycle.

See Figure 1. Locate the slotted bushing for the backrest just to the rear and both sides of the seat.

Slide the "C" bracket guides into the slotted bushing.

With the latches aligned to accept the bushing, push down on the rear of the backrest bracket and lock in place.

Verify that the passenger backrest is locked in place before riding the motorcycle.
