Adjustment
NOTE
See Figure 1. Use a no-loss air pump such as the DIGITAL TOURING SUSPENSION AIR PUMP (Part Number:54000033) available from a Harley-Davidson dealer. This pump can also be used as a tire air pressure gauge.
1. Press the power button (3) to turn on the display.
2. To switch the display between psi and kPa units, hold the power button five seconds.
3. Remove right side cover.
4. Remove the cap from the air valve under the right side cover.
5. Install the pump air valve adapter (2) on the air valve.
NOTE
  • Before releasing pressure, purge the shock absorber of oil by inflating an extra 20.7–34.6 kPa (3–5 psi).
  • For best results, press the pressure release button (1) slowly and only partially.
NOTICE
Do not exceed maximum air pressure for suspension. Air components fill rapidly. Therefore, use low air line pressure. Failure to do so can result in possible damage to components. (00165b)
6. Adjust pressure.
a. Release pressure: Press the pressure release button on the pump.
b. Inflate pressure: See Figure 2. Pull out the handle. Rotate the handle to the T-position. Pump until the display indicates the recommended pressure.
7. Remove the pump from the air valve.
8. Install cap on air valve.
9. Install right side cover.
