See Figure 1. The odometer shows the total accumulated mileage for the motorcycle.
Odometer: Trip A and B
See Figure 1. The two trip odometers (A and B) (4) display the total accumulated mileage since they were last reset. To check mileage, press and release the trip switch until the desired trip odometer (A or B) is displayed.
To reset a trip odometer, have desired (A or B) odometer in display window. Press and hold the trip switch until the selected trip odometer resets to zero.
Clock
See Figure 1. Press and release the trip switch until the time (1) is displayed in the odometer window. To change the time settings, see Controls and Indicators → Setting Time.
Digital Tachometer
See Figure 1. Press and release the trip switch repeatedly until the digital tachometer is displayed. The odometer window briefly displays an 'RPM' message (2) then displays the engine speed (3).
Fuel Range
See Figure 1. The fuel range display (5) shows the approximate mileage available with the amount of fuel left in the fuel tank.
With the OFF/RUN switch in the RUN position, press the trip switch until fuel range is displayed, as indicated by the letter "R" in the left side of the display. The calculated remaining distance (miles or kilometers) to empty is displayed, based on the amount of fuel in tank. Range can be accessed at any time with the trip switch.
The fuel range is automatically displayed when the low fuel lamp is lit. After the fuel range drops to 10 mi (10 km), the fuel range displays "LO RNG" to indicate that the motorcycle will shortly runout of fuel. Refuel as soon as possible.
The range display is only updated when the vehicle is moving.
Disable: To disable the automatic low fuel warning range function while riding, press and hold the trip switch while in the fuel range display mode. The automatic range pop-up feature blinks twice to show that it is disabled.
Enable: To enable the automatic low fuel warning range display, press and hold the trip switch. The low fuel range blinks once when the automatic feature is enabled. The automatic fuel range display is also enabled after the OFF/RUN switch is turned to off then to run.
Reset: Resetting the low fuel warning lamp and range requires sufficient fuel in the tank and an ignition cycle change (off-run).
"No Fob"
See Figure 1. If the motorcycle is ridden off without the fob, "NO FOB" (6) appears in the odometer window for 10 seconds after the motorcycle starts moving. Without the fob, the motorcycle can only be started with a manual PIN entry to disarm the security system. See SECURITY SYSTEM → Arming and Disarming.
Tip Indicator
WARNING
If tip occurs, check all controls for proper operation. Restricted control movement can adversely affect the performance of the brakes, clutch or ability to shift, which could result in loss of vehicle control and death or serious injury. (00350a)
See Figure 1. If the motorcycle is tipped over, the word "tIP" (7) appears in the odometer window. The engine cannot start until the tip condition is reset.
The four-way flashers will operate when the vehicle is tipped over.
Reset: Bring the motorcycle to the upright position. Set the OFF/RUN switch to off then back to run. Press the hazard button above the start switch.
