Carefully read these instructions and the charging instructions in the owner’s manual before using the portable charger.
WARNING: Failure to read this entire document before using the portable charger, or to follow any of the instructions or warnings in this document can result in electrical shock, fire, serious injury or death.
WARNING: Use the portable charger only within the specified operating parameters.
WARNING: Do not use (or discontinue using) the portable charger if it is defective, appears cracked, frayed, broken or otherwise damaged, or fails to operate.
WARNING: Do not disconnect the portable charger from the Alternating Current (AC) wall outlet when it is connected to the vehicle.
WARNING: Do not plug the portable charger into a damaged, loose or worn power outlet. Ensure that the prongs of the portable charger fit snugly into the wall outlet and the plug is fully inserted.
WARNING: Do not plug the portable charger into a power outlet that is not properly grounded.
WARNING: The portable charger is intended for use only with vehicles that do not require ventilation during charging.
WARNING: Do not charge vehicles while they are covered unless the cover has been approved by LiveWire for use while charging.
WARNING: Do not expose the portable charger to flammable or harsh chemicals or vapors, and do not use solvents to clean it.
WARNING: Do not use the portable charger in severe rain, snow electrical storm or other inclement weather. Do not place the control box on or below floor level where it could become submerged during flooding.
WARNING: Protect the portable charger from moisture, water and debris at all times. If any are evident or appear to have caused corrosion or damage, do not use the portable charger.
WARNING: If charging in rain, do not allow rainwater to run along the length of the cable towards the wall outlet or vehicle charge port.
WARNING: Do not plug the portable charger into a power outlet that is submerged in water or covered in snow. If the unit is already plugged in and this happens, turn off the circuit breaker before unplugging.
WARNING: Do not touch the portable charger’s terminals with sharp metallic objects, such as wire or tools.
WARNING: Do not use an extension cord, multi-outlet adapter, multi-plug, conversion plug or power strip with the portable charger.
WARNING: Do not remove the control box cover or attempt to open the enclosure. The unit must be serviced by a qualified technician. There are no user serviceable parts inside the unit.
CAUTION: Do not use portable generators as a power source for charging unless the model has been approved by LiveWire.
CAUTION: Only operate the portable charger in temperatures within its operating range of -20–50 °C (-4–122 °F), and with the control box out of direct sunlight.
CAUTION: Store the portable charger in a clean and dry area, and in temperatures within its storage range of -40–80 °C (-40–176 °F).
