Check engine oil level at each complete fuel refill.
Oil Level Cold Check
| 1. | Set vehicle upright. Refer to Maintenance and Lubrication → Preparing the Motorcycle for Maintenance. NOTE Oil level on a cold engine should never be above the midway point. | |
| 2. | See Figure 1. Check engine oil level before starting the engine. When checking oil level, park the vehicle upright on a flat ground, and observe whether the oil level is between the L(3) and H(2) marks through the oil level observation window. When the oil level is lower than the lower mark L, open the upper filler cap(1) and add oil to the upper mark H. |
