| 1. | Apply a light coat of petroleum jelly or corrosion inhibitor to negative and positive terminals. | |

| 3. | Install battery bracket (1) and screws (3). Tighten. Torque: 8.1–10.8 N·m (72–96 in-lbs) Battery bracket screws | |

| 4. | Install positive terminal screw through positive battery cable and into positive battery terminal (4). Tighten. Torque: 6.8–7.9 N·m (60–70 in-lbs) Battery terminal screw | |
| 5. | Install rubber boot over terminal. | |
| 6. | Install screw through negative battery cable and into negative battery terminal (1). Tighten. Torque: 6.8–7.9 N·m (60–70 in-lbs) Battery terminal screw | |
| 7. | Install top cover. | |
| 8. | Install fuse block. | |
| 9. | Install seat. Refer to Operation → Seat. |
