NOTE
The performance of new motorcycle initial service is required to keep your new motorcycle warranty in force and for proper emissions system operation.
After a new motorcycle has been ridden 1,600 km (1000 mi), visit an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer for initial service. Refer to Service Intervals and Records → Service Records.
The most important maintenance is after the first 1,000 km (621 mi). See your dealer to replace oil and oil filter, clean the filter screen, complete any adjustments, tighten all fasteners and any other maintenance to ensure long service life and good performance of the engine.
Check the following before riding. All inspection items should be completed before riding and not overlooked.
