During projection mode, the Phone icon on the home screen is replaced with the Android Auto icon. Also, the tuner or media selections are paused, active route is cancelled and projection mode assumes priority. Upon exiting projection mode all items return to normal radio functions.
Android Auto is compatible with an Android phone running Android 5.0 and up with a data plan. An Android 6.0 phone and up is recommended for best performance.
NOTE
Android Auto does require an app download from the Google Play Store. When connected, not all Android Auto apps will be displayed on the screen, only Google approved apps.
The rider requires a headset with microphone to enable voice commands.
Using the factory phone USB cable ensures proper performance for data change.
