The dash of the Ultra Classic sidecar mounts stereo speakers and a MODE and +/TUNE/- switch and a VOL and PTT knob.
Sidecar Speakers
See Figure 1. The maximum sidecar volume is dependent upon the volume of the passenger speakers (a level established using the handlebar mounted +/AUDIO/- switch with the FADER function) or the passenger headset volume, depending on the position of the fairing SPKR switch. Rotating the volume and press to transmit (VOL / PTT) knob on the dash may lower the volume of the sidecar speakers but will not raise the volume above the master volume level.
MODE and +/TUNE/- Switch
See Figure 1. The MODE and +/TUNE/- switch controls radio band selection, station tuning, and CD track selection and operation. The MODE and +/TUNE/- switch operates like the hand grip mounted UP/MODE SEL/DN switch.
Vol and PTT Knob
See Figure 1. The VOL and PTT knob controls the volume in the sidecar speakers and is used to open the intercom and transmit over the CB.
Although the sidecar has its own headset socket, sidecar headset volume is adjusted with the VOL and PTT knob on the right rear passenger speaker box. See Premium Sound System → Passenger Controls.
