AIR SUSPENSION PUMP AND GAUGE | HD-34633 | 1 |
1. | Open the left saddlebag lid. See Controls and Indicators → SADDLEBAGS.
2. | See Figure 1. Remove the cap from the air valve located behind the shock absorber on the left side of the vehicle. NOTE
| |
![]() Use caution when bleeding air from the suspension. Moisture combined with lubricant may leak onto the rear wheel, tire and/or brake components and adversely affect traction, which could result in death or serious injury. (00084a) NOTICE Do not exceed maximum air pressure for suspension. Air components fill rapidly. Therefore, use low air line pressure. Failure to do so can result in possible damage to components. 3. | See Figure 2. Attach AIR SUSPENSION PUMP AND GAUGE (Part Number:HD-34633) to the air valve. Fill or release air from the shock absorber to the pressure specified for your model motorcycle and load. Refer to Table 1. NOTE The specified pressures are recommended starting points. Adjust pressure to suit load conditions, riding style and comfort desired. Less pressure does not necessarily result in a softer ride. Using pressures outside the recommended loading range will result in a reduction of available suspension travel and reduced rider comfort.
4. | Install cap on air valve.
5. | Close the left saddlebag. |
