1. | Load vehicle with rider, passenger (if normally present) and any cargo. Weight will compress vehicle suspension slightly. | |
2. | Stand motorcycle upright with both tires resting on floor and with front wheel held in straight alignment (directly forward). | |
3. | See Figure 2. Turn ignition switch ON. Set handlebar headlamp switch to HIGH beam position. | |
4. | Check lamp beam for alignment. | |
5. | See Figure 3 or Figure 4. If adjustment is required: a. Loosen left and right fasteners. b. Move headlamp assembly to adjust vertical alignment. c. Tighten fasteners. For VRSCD/VRSCDX models, tighten to 31–41 N·m (23–30 ft-lbs). For all other VRSC models, tighten to 4.5–7.5 N·m (40–66 in-lbs). |
