The backlight color can be modified for the entire gauge or individually for the dial, speedometer pointer, tachometer pointer, and multi-function display. The gear indicator and fuel level display can also be disabled or enabled.
Each of the customizations requires the instrument to be put into setup mode. Once in setup mode, toggle to the desired function to be modified.
Setup Mode
Press and hold the function switch.
Turn the ignition switch to the ACCESSORY position.
Release the function switch. The multi-function display will show the word SETUP and the fuel level option will flash the word ON or OFF.
Repeatedly press the function switch to toggle through different display functions until the desired function is displayed.
Perform the desired changes.
Fuel Level Display
When the fuel level function is selected, the fuel level segments will be illuminated and the word ON or OFF will flash.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and then quickly back to ACCESSORY to toggle between ON and OFF.
Press the function switch to save the setting and toggle to the next display control or turn the ignition switch to OFF or IGNITION to save and return to normal operation.
Gear Indicator Display
When the gear indicator is selected, the full range of gear numbers will be illuminated and the word ON or OFF will flash.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and then quickly back to ACCESSORY to toggle between ON and OFF.
Press the function switch to save the setting and toggle to the next display control or turn the ignition switch to OFF or IGN to return to normal operation.
Backlight Brightness
When the backlight brightness is selected, the multi-function display will show BRIGHT or DIM and show the fuel level display. BRIGHT will show eight segments of the fuel level and DIM will show four.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and then quickly back to ACCESSORY to toggle between BRIGHT and DIM.
Press the function switch to save the setting and toggle to the next display control or turn the ignition switch to OFF or IGN to save and return to normal operation.
Display Color
Refer to
Table 1 for numerical color range reference.
Repeatedly press the function switch until the desired color function is selected. The gauge will toggle through the following options: The option selected will flash through a range of colors to display the available colors.
COLOR ALL (changes all display colors at once).
DIAL (changes backlight color for tachometer and speedometer).
LCD (changes backlight color for multi-function display).
SPEEDO (changes speedometer needle color).
TACH (changes tachometer needle color).
To adjust, turn the ignition switch OFF and then quickly back to ACCESSORY. The gauge will display the color number that is currently set for that function.
NOTE
The factory default color is 000 (red).
Press and hold the function switch to cycle through the colors.
The color will gradually change as the number increases. Number range is 000-600.
Release the function switch when the desired color is reached.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and then quickly back to ACCESSORY to save the color. The gauge will display SAVED and then return to the display color select menu.
Press the function switch to toggle to the next display control or turn the ignition switch to OFF or IGN to return to normal operation.
