Table 1. Note
ALL MODELS
Installation of handlebars and risers may require a change in clutch cables or lines, throttle cables, or brake lines for some models. All modular lower brake lines listed are based on stock front suspension. Harley-Davidson Motor Company cannot test and make specific fitment recommendations concerning every possible mirror and handlebar combination. Therefore, after installing new mirrors, handlebars, or control cables/lines and before operating the motorcycle, check to ensure that all controls are fully functional and that the mirrors provide the operator a clear view to the rear. Handlebar height is regulated in many areas. Check local laws before installation.
If you select a custom handlebar that requires shorter or longer control cables and brake lines, it’s easy to find the correct size using the following 5 simple steps. For example, if you are installing a handlebar that requires 4" longer cables on your 2009 Fat Boy® model, you would follow the instructions in Figure 1.
1. Find the model in the Original Equipment Applications chart.
2. Note the Diamondback part number for your model.
3. Locate the part number in the Custom Length Chart.
4. Note the length and specifications - this is the stock size.
5. Move up or down the chart for shorter or longer length requirements.
