Remove the screw and washer from top of rear fender.

Pivot pillion counter-clockwise to disengage left seat mounting stud.

Slide the pillion to the rear and right.

Remove the pillion.

Remove the two nuts from the rear of the seat.

Lift rear of seat. Pull rearward to remove.

See Figure 1. Slide seat forward to engage the tongue on the frame into the slot in the seat (1). Lower the rear of the seat onto the seat mounting studs (2).

Install seat nuts (3). Tighten.0.9–1.7 N·m (8.0–15.0 in-lbs)

Install the pillion, if desired.

Pull up on the seat to be sure it is secure.

Hold the pillion so that the right side engages the right side seat nut first (4).

Slide the pillion under the rear of rider seat cushion and engage the right side pillion bracket fork with the slot in the right side seat nut.

Rotate the pillion so that the left side engages the left side seat nut.

Install screw with washer to secure pillion to rear fender (5). Tighten. 0.9–1.7 N·m (8.0–15.0 in-lbs)

Pull up on the seat to be sure it is secure.
