Remove the screw and washer from top of rear fender.

Slide the passenger seat cowl to the rear.

Remove the passenger seat cowl.

Remove the two nuts from the rear of the seat.

Lift rear of seat. Pull rearward to remove.

See Figure 1. Slide seat forward to engage the tongue on the frame into the slot in the seat (1). Lower the rear of the seat onto the seat mounting studs (2).

Install seat nuts (3). Tighten.0.9–1.7 N·m (8.0–15.0 in-lbs)

Install the passenger seat cowl, if desired.

Pull up on the seat to be sure it is secure.

Slide the passenger seat cowl under the rear of rider seat cushion and engage the bracket fork with the slots in the seat mounting nuts.

Install screw with washer to secure passenger seat cowl to rear fender (5). Tighten. 0.9–1.7 N·m (8.0–15.0 in-lbs)

Pull up on the passenger seat cowl to be sure it is secure.
