General
See Figure 2 and Figure 3. The FXSTSSE has a tongue underneath the seat that slides into a slot in the back end of the frame.
Removal
  1. See Figure 1. Remove the knurled seat mounting thumbscrew and plastic washer from top of rear fender.
  2. See Figure 2. Push seat rearward to free tongue at front of seat from slot in frame back.
  3. Lift front of seat up and slide seat forward through the strap.
Installation
1. Place the rear portion of the seat under the seat strap and slide the seat toward the rear of the motorcycle.
2. Slide seat toward front of motorcycle to engage the tongue into the slot in the frame back.
3. Install seat mounting thumbscrew.
WARNING
After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. While riding, a loose seat can shift causing loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. (00070b)
4. Pull up on seat to verify that it is properly secured.
