Measure (check)
1. Perform test.
a. Move handlebars from left to right steering stops three times, ending at full left steering stop.
NOTE
See Figure 1. While pulling, keep scale parallel to front tire and perpendicular to fork leg.
Pull slowly without tugging scale.
b. Using a 0-25 lbs pull force scale with a peak hold feature, pull from inside diameter of front axle until front end is straight.
c. Repeat steps a and b until peak force value becomes consistent.
2. If peak force value is not within specification, adjust fork stem bolt. Table 1

Adjust
1. See Figure 2. Loosen fork stem pinch screw (2).
2. Loosen upper fork bracket pinch screws (1).
3. Adjust fork stem screw (3).
a. If pull force dimension is above maximum, loosen fork stem screw.
b. If pull force dimension is below minimum, tighten fork stem screw.
4. Tighten fork stem pinch screw (2).
Torque: 20–24 N·m (15–18 ft-lbs) Fork stem pinch screw
5. Tighten upper fork bracket pinch screws (1).
Torque: 20–24 N·m (15–18 ft-lbs) Fork bracket, upper, pinch screw
