1. See Figure 1. Install front brake master cylinder.
a. Engage ear (1) in recess (2).
b. Install clamp (5).
c. Install washers (4) and screws (3).
d. Tighten top screw then bottom.
Torque: 8–10 N·m (71–89 in-lbs) Brake master cylinder, front, clamp screw
NOTICE
Avoid leakage. Be sure gaskets, banjo bolt(s), brake line and master cylinder bore are clean and undamaged before assembly. (00322a)
2. If replacing master cylinder: Attach brake line.
a. Attach brake line (8) with banjo bolt (7), and new gasket washers (6).
b. Tighten banjo bolt.
Torque: 25.5–28.5 N·m (19–21 ft-lbs) Brake master cylinder, front, banjo bolt
