PREPARE

INSTALL
| 1. | Install special tool to back of transmission assembly. Special Tool: TRANSMISSION BACKLASH MEASURING KIT (HD-52736) | |
| 2. | Install special tool to transmission sprocket. Special Tool: FRONT DRIVE SPROCKET LOCKING TOOL (HD-52733) | |
| 3. | Figure 1 Install tip of dial indicator (2) to drive ring gear (1). a. Position needle on ring gear tooth as far outboard as possible. b. Make sure that needle is perpendicular to gear tooth. | |
| 4. | Rotate transmission sprocket to measure backlash. Dimension: 0.076–0.136 mm (0.0030–0.0054 in) | |
| 5. | Backlash measurement outcome: a. Out of range: See Adjust Backlash in this section. b. Within range: Procedure is finished. Remove special tools. |
