COOLANT SYSTEM PRESSURE TESTER

Test pressure cap for correct operating range when changing coolant or any time cooling system maintenance is performed.
  1. Allow coolant to cool.
  2. Remove pressure cap.
  3. Inspect gasket and springs of cap for wear and damage.
    4. NOTE
    Wet sealing surfaces before assembling coolant system pressure tester.
  4. See Figure 1. Install COOLANT SYSTEM PRESSURE TESTER (Part Number:HD-45335) onto pressure cap.
  5. Pump handle until pressure valve in cap opens.
  6. Replace pressure cap if:
    1. Vents below low limit: 124 kPa (18.0 psi).
    2. Vents above high limit: 152 kPa (22.0 psi).
    3. Pressure falls rapidly when pressurized within range.
  7. Remove adapter and cap.
