1. If replacing master cylinder reservoir: See Figure 3. Install master cylinder reservoir.
a. Install master cylinder reservoir (1).
b. Install screw (2). Tighten.
Torque: 5–7 N·m (44–62 in-lbs) Brake master cylinder reservoir, rear, screw
c. Install brake hose (6).
d. Move spring clamp (3) into position.
e. If necessary, route brake hose (6), install clamps (5) and screws (4). Tighten.
Torque: 5–7 N·m (44–62 in-lbs) Brake master cylinder reservoir hose clamp screws
2. If replacing master cylinder: See Figure 1. Install brake hose.
a. Install brake hose (1).
b. Move spring clamp (5) into position.
3. See Figure 2. Install master cylinder.
a. Align master cylinder (3) with brake pedal (6).
b. Install clevis pin (5) through brake pedal (1) and pushrod.
c. Install cotter ring (2).
d. Install screws (4). Tighten.
Torque: 9–11 N·m (80–97 in-lbs) Brake master cylinder, rear, screws
4. If replacing master cylinder: See Figure 3. Attach brake line.
a. Attach brake line (2) to master cylinder with banjo bolt (3) and new gasket washers (4).
b. Tighten banjo bolt.
Torque: 19–31 N·m (14–23 ft-lbs) Brake master cylinder, rear, banjo bolt
