| 1. | Refer to Electric Vehicle Powertrain (EVPT) → MOTOR SPROCKET → Remove → Sprocket Seal. Install seal (1) verify flat side is towards sprocket, beveled side is out and the seal is fully seated on the sprocket (2). | |
| 2. | See Figure 1. Install motor sprocket (1) and washer (8). | |
| 3. | Install new sprocket nut (4) finger-tight. | |
| 4. | Install sprocket locking tool (6) over motor sprocket (1). Special Tool: DRIVE PULLEY LOCKING TOOL (HD-52985) Special Tool: SPROCKET LOCKING TOOL (LW-53214) | |
| 5. | Align the pulley locking tool (6) to the rear against the motor (7). | |
| 6. | Tighten motor sprocket nut (1). Torque: 115–125 N·m (85–92 ft-lbs) Motor sprocket nut | |
| 7. | Using a 1/8 in round flat punch, stake (2) output pulley nut (4) to groove (5) in output shaft (3) in two places, 180 degrees apart. |
