1. See Figure 3. Install risers if equipped.
a. Guide brake lever switch cable (1) through right side riser (2).
b. Install screw (4). Tighten.
Torque: 47.9–53 N·m (35–39 ft-lbs) Handlebar tall riser screws
c. Guide LH control cable (3) through left hand riser (2).
d. Install screw (4). Tighten.
Torque: 47.9–53 N·m (35–39 ft-lbs) Handlebar riser screws
2. Install handlebar.
NOTE
Mounting is the same for triple clamp mounted and riser mounted handlebars. The positioning of the handlebars is different.
a. See Figure 1. Install handlebar (5).
b. Install riser cap/instrument module (3).
c. Install handlebar clamp screws (4) finger tight.
d. Triple clamp mounted:See Figure 2. Rotate handlebar to lower handlebar alignment mark (2).
e. Riser mounted:See Figure 4. Rotate handlebar to middle handlebar alignment mark (3).
f. See Figure 1. Secure front handlebar clamp screws first, then rear screws. Tighten.
Torque: 24–27 N·m (18–20 ft-lbs) Screw, handlebar clamp
3. Install throttle grip (6) and LH hand grip (1). See Chassis → HAND GRIPS.
4. Install mirror bar ends (7). Tighten.
Torque: 14–20 N·m (124–177 in-lbs) Bar end, mirror
5. Install right hand control module. See Electrical → RIGHT HAND CONTROL MODULE (RHCM).
6. Install left hand control module. See Electrical → LEFT HAND CONTROL MODULE (LHCM).
7. Install wire retainers (2).
8. Install front brake master cylinder assembly. See Chassis → FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER.
9. Install mirrors. See Chassis → MIRRORS.
