See Figure 1. Heated hand grips can be operated using the heated hand grip control or through the Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU). Refer to Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU) Operation → Bike Functions.
See Figure 1. Models with heated hand grips have a variable heat control push button on the end of the left-hand grip.
Push the button once to turn on the heated hand grips. Push again (up to three times) to increase the heat. Refer to Operation → Instruments → IFCU Indicators. The heated hand grip icon (10) in the IFCU displays the heat setting. Refer to Table 1. Push once more to turn off the heated hand grips.
Heated hand grips are equipped with thermostatic controls to maintain a consistent and comfortable grip temperature. This feature ensures that the grips stay within the preset temperature range during use. To prevent battery drain, heated hand grips are only operational while the engine is running.
NOTE
Certain environmental conditions, such as extreme ambient temperatures or sudden changes in surrounding temperature, may cause slight variations in the actual grip temperature. These fluctuations are normal and do not indicate a malfunction.
The sensor for thermostatic control is housed in both the left and right hand grip. Maintaining consistent hand contact with both left and right-hand grips produces the most consistent results. If the hand grips are not producing heat, see Troubleshooting → HEATED HAND GRIPS.
NOTE
Allow approximately 20 minutes for grips to reach final operating temperature.
