The security system is an immobilizing theft prevention mechanism that can be activated to prevent unauthorized vehicle startup.

When armed, the security system requires a 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) to be entered before accessing instrument cluster functions or starting the motorcycle. If the proper PIN cannot be successfully entered, the vehicle locks out the instrument cluster and disables the starting, ignition, and fuel systems.
