If the security system is armed, the instrument cluster displays the ENTER PIN message when the ignition key switch is turned ON. The appropriate four-digit PIN must be entered to access the instrument cluster functions and start the vehicle.
  1. See Figure 1. Turn the ignition key switch to ON. If the security system is armed, the ENTER PIN message is displayed on the LCD screen.
  2. Four dashes are displayed in the odometer. Press the Toggle switch to increment the first digit in the PIN. After a brief pause, the screen will advance to the next digit in the PIN.
  3. Repeat for the remaining three digits in the PIN.
NOTE
A CORRECT PIN message is displayed when the correct PIN is entered. A WRONG PIN message is displayed if the PIN is not correct. Entering 20 consecutive incorrect PIN entries will cause the instrument cluster to lockout for 30 minutes. See Controls and Indicators → Instrument Cluster Lockout.
