If modifications have been made to the vehicle to bypass the security system, the vehicle will become immobilized (unable to start) and the LCD screen will display a THEFT ERROR message when the ignition key is turned to ON. The indicator and warning lamps operate, but the LCD screen functions cannot be accessed. See a Buell dealer for service.
