Running the Lap Timer
NOTE
The instrument cluster must be in lap timer mode before running the lap timer.
  1. See Figure 1. To start the timer, briefly press the passing lamp switch. The instrument cluster will show the current lap in memory (such as LP:07) and start the timer.
  2. When the lap is completed, briefly press the passing lamp switch to begin timing the next lap. The difference between the two previous laps is displayed (unless only one lap is stored in memory). A plus (+) or minus (-) sign shows whether the lap time was longer or shorter than the previous lap, respectively. After displaying the lap time difference for 15 seconds, the running time for the current lap is displayed.
  3. For each remaining lap, briefly press the passing lamp switch to mark the lap time and start the timer for next lap.
NOTE
  • When 99 laps are accumulated in memory, a LAPS FULL message is displayed and the lap timer enters review mode.
  • The lap timer will timeout if the passing lamp switch is not pressed within 10 minutes.
  • After the last lap has been timed (passing lamp switch briefly pressed), the lap timer will continue running. You may allow the current lap to timeout (after 10 minutes) or you may enter review mode as explained in REVIEWING AND CLEARING LAP TIMER RESULTS. The current running timer will not be recorded unless the passing lamp switch is briefly pressed.
