LCD Screen
See Figure 1. The LCD screen (1) displays a digital speedometer, odometer, clock, and text messages. The LCD screen is illuminated when the ignition key switch is in the ON or PARKED position. See Controls and Indicators → LCD Screen.
Tachometer
NOTICE
See OPERATING RECOMMENDATIONS section. Do not operate the engine above maximum safe RPM as shown under OPERATION (red zone on tachometer). Lower the RPM by upshifting to a higher gear or reducing the amount of throttle. Failure to lower RPM may cause equipment damage. (00159a)
The tachometer (2) displays engine speed in revolutions per minute (RPMx1000). As the tachometer approaches the redline, the color of the needle changes from orange to red.
Toggle Switch
The Toggle switch (3) is used to select the information to be displayed on the LCD screen. With the engine running, press the Toggle switch to display the following screens:
- Gear position and intake air temperature
- Coolant temperature and battery voltage
- Display brightness
- Average fuel consumption
- Instantaneous fuel consumption
Mode Switch
The Mode switch (4) is used to select the odometer to be displayed:
- Main odometer
- Trip 1 odometer
- Trip 2 odometer
- Service odometer
- Low fuel odometer
Indicator Lamps
Four indicator lamps (5) are located along the top of the instrument cluster. See Controls and Indicators → INDICATOR LAMPS.
Warning Lamps
Five warning lamps (6) are located along the right edge of the instrument cluster. These lamps indicate vehicle conditions that require attention. See Controls and Indicators → Warning Lamps.
Theft Mode LED
The theft mode LED (7) flashes when the security system is armed. See Controls and Indicators → SECURITY SYSTEM for description and operation of the security system. See Controls and Indicators → Instrument Cluster Configuration for security system configuration.
