NOTE

The performance of new motorcycle initial service is required to keep your new motorcycle warranty in force and to assure proper emissions system operation.

Refer to Maintenance Scheduling → Regular Service Intervals: Softail Models → Regular Service Intervals: 2006 Softail Models. After a new motorcycle has been ridden its first 1000 miles (1600 kilometers), it should be taken to the dealer from whom it was purchased for initial service operations.

NOTE

Because of unique design features, Springer models require the first scheduled maintenance at 500 miles (800 kilometers).
