1.	Remove top cover. See Chassis → TOP COVER.
2.	Remove rear cover. See Chassis → REAR COVER.
3.	Deactivate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT.
4.	Remove fairing and loosen fairing clamps. See Chassis → FAIRING.
5.	Raise front wheel with vehicle level. See Secure the Motorcycle for Service in Maintenance → GENERAL.
6.	Move forks from stop to stop to check for smooth operation. Rough operation indicates damaged bearings. See Chassis → STEERING HEAD.
7.	Grasping both forks near front axle, pull forks to front then push to rear. a. If a clunk is felt, perform Adjust in this section.
