Prepare
1. Remove top cover. See Chassis → TOP COVER.
2. Remove rear cover. See Chassis → REAR COVER.
3. Deactivate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT.
4. Remove tail section. See Chassis → TAIL SECTION.
5. Remove rear shock absorber. See Chassis → REAR SHOCK ABSORBER.
6. Drain rear brake lines. See Chassis → BLEED BRAKES.
7. Remove ABS module cover. See Remove and Install: ABS Module Cover in this section.
Remove
1. Figure 1 Disconnect stoplamp switch (1).
2. Discard cable strap (5).
3. Remove screw (2) and p-clamp (3).
4. Remove brake line from rear brake master cylinder. See Chassis → REAR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
5. Remove brake line from ABS module. See Chassis → ABS MODULE.
Install
1. Install brake line to ABS module. See Chassis → ABS MODULE.
2. Install brake line to rear brake master cylinder. See Chassis → REAR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
3. Figure 1 Install p-clamp (3) and screw (2). Tighten.
Torque: 5–7 N·m (44–62 in-lbs) Brake line, rear master cylinder to ABS module, p-clamp screw
4. Install new cable strap (5).
5. Connect stoplamp switch (5).

Complete
1. Install ABS module cover. See Remove and Install: ABS Module Cover in this section.
2. Install rear shock absorber. See Chassis → REAR SHOCK ABSORBER.
3. Install tail section. See Chassis → TAIL SECTION.
4. Activate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT.
5. Fill and bleed brakes. See Chassis → BLEED BRAKES.
6. Install rear cover. See Chassis → REAR COVER.
7. Install top cover. See Chassis → TOP COVER.
