Prepare
1. Remove top cover. See Chassis → TOP COVER.
2. Remove rear cover. See Chassis → REAR COVER.
3. Deactivate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT.
Remove
1. Detach brake lines.
a. Remove p-clamps securing brake lines (1,2). See Brake Line: Front Master Cylinder to ABS Module in this section.
b. See Figure 1. Remove brake lines from brake line bracket (3).
2. Remove cable strap (5) with anchor.
3. Remove anchored cable strap (6).
4. Remove screw (7).
5. Remove push-in clip (4).
Install
1. See Figure 1. Install push-in clip (4).
2. Install screw (7).
Torque: 8–10 N·m (71–89 in-lbs) Brake line bracket screw
3. Install anchored cable strap (6).
4. Install cable strap (5) with anchor.
5. Attach brake lines.
a. Install brake lines in brake line bracket (3).
b. Install p-clamps securing brake lines (1,2). See Brake Line: Front Master Cylinder to ABS Module in this section.
