Prepare
1. Remove seat. See Chassis → SEAT.
2. Deactivate electrical system. See Electrical → POWER DISCONNECT.
3. Remove rear cover. See Chassis → REAR COVER.
4. Remove inlet side cover. See Chassis → SIDE COVERS.
5. Remove lower motor cover. See Chassis → SIDE COVERS.
6. Drain rear brake lines. See Chassis → BLEED BRAKES.
Remove
1. See Figure 1. Disconnect stoplamp switch.
2. See Figure 2. Remove screws (1). Remove P-clips and grommets (2).
3. See Figure 3. Remove screws (1) and p-clamps (2).
4. Remove brake line from rear brake master cylinder. See Chassis → REAR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
5. Remove brake line from ABS module. See Chassis → ABS MODULE.
6. See Figure 3. Remove brake line (3).
Install
1. See Figure 3. Install brake line (3).
2. Install brake line to ABS module. See Chassis → ABS MODULE.
3. Install brake line to rear brake master cylinder. See Chassis → REAR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
4. See Figure 3. Install p-clamps (2) and screws (1). Tighten.
Torque: 5–7 N·m (44–62 in-lbs) Brake line, rear master cylinder to ABS module, p-clamp screws
5. See Figure 2. Install p-clamps (2) and screws (1). Tighten.
Torque: 5–7 N·m (44–62 in-lbs) Brake line, rear master cylinder to ABS module, p-clamp screws
6. See Figure 1. Connect stoplamp switch (5).
